Love, Laughter, and Magic: Alex and Natasha’s Winter Wedding Celebration at Holmes Mill, Clitheroe

Alex and Natasha exchanged vows in an intimate city centre ceremony the previous day but their celebration didn't end there; it was merely the beginning. As festive spirit filled the air and twinkling lights adorned every corner, Holmes Mill in Clitheroe became the perfect backdrop for round two- a wedding party with their family and friends!

Holmes Mill in Clitheroe is the perfect venue for a winter wedding- it exudes rustic elegance with its stone walls nestled in between rolling fields of the Ribble Valley and country pubs. Constructed in 1820 the once textile mill is now home to a hotel, beer hall, bowling alley and  indoor artisan food market. It has retained many of its original industrial features including the only known surviving steam engine made by local engineers which is centre stage in the eatery.

At this time of year, the mill is draped in festoon lighting, home to a big red double-decker bus and  of course in December it is furnished with towering Christmas trees- the perfect complement to a couple’s Christmas love story.

Before their guests arrived, Natasha and Alex stole a moment for a "first look" image, capturing the raw emotion and anticipation before the festivities were to commence.

They spent the first part of their day drinking and enjoying canapes, then just before a winterry hailstorm set in, along with their guests, they snuck in a classic confetti shot underneath the lights.

Natasha looked radiant in her bead and jewel embellished all-in-one ensemble complete with a stunning bouquet of deep red roses, ferns and thistles. Alex, opted for a burgundy suit to match his boys and looked the essence of Christmas.

The presence of their adorable twin boys, each wearing a charming bow tie fit for the occasion made the couple’s day extra special.

Undeterred by the whims of nature, Natasha, Alex and the boys ventured outside into the wintry landscape for family portraits and intimate couple moments by the glow of the Christmas tree and the festive festoon lights.

Couples really do have the best of both worlds at Holmes Mill. If it's dry enough guests can take advantage of the outside courtyard with ample seating and during the rainy months or if you are opting for a winter wedding guests can enjoy welcome drinks in the Spinning Block bar complete with stained glass windows and a grand piano.

With hearts full and spirits high, the couple joined their guests in the Cotton Room which was transformed into a wonderland of love and celebration by Natasha’s close friend. Tables were decorated with flickering candlelight, abundant ivy, and poinsettias and each setting was lovingly named after the cherished places that had been witness to their blossoming romance.

Amidst laughter and tears, heartfelt speeches echoed through the hall, weaving tales of love, friendship, and shared memories. As the night deepened Alex & Tash snuck off for a sparkler shot in the rain whilst the guests stayed toasty inside.
