On a frosty January morning, amidst the country charm of The Plough Inn Eaton Macclesfield, Charles and Ellen exchanged vows, surrounded by their loved ones. With rustic wooden beams, an aisle adorned in sage foliage and an array of personal touches the stage was set for a day filled with romance, laughter and unforgettable memories.
Ellen’s very chilled morning commenced at a bridesmaid’s home where the wedding party played card games by an open fire. Cups of tea and croissants were consumed and glasses of fizz overflowed. All the girls, including the mother of the bride, prepared for the momentous occasion ahead under the skilled hands of one of my favourite makeup teams @makeupbyFranki.
Ellen’s friends watched as the bride put on her exquisite floor length gown, smartly equipped with long sleeves to keep in the warmth, stunning button detailing and a breathtaking train. Ellen’s hair and makeup was elegantly set off with her train-length veil, beaded hair clip and classic cream long-stem roses.
As the clock ticked closer to the ceremony, anticipation grew, and soon, guests gathered at The Plough to witness the union of Charles and Ellen. Against a backdrop of their nearest and dearest, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows, sealing their love with a tender kiss.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests indulged in an array of drinks and canapés, savouring each moment of celebration. True to their laid-back style, Charles and Ellen opted for a minimalistic approach to photography, favouring candid moments over staged shots. However, amidst the festivities, they couldn't resist capturing a classic confetti shot and after some gentle persuasion, a few couple portraits with the picturesque red phone box and iconic pub front as their backdrop.
As the evening progressed, laughter echoed through the pub walls fueled by heartfelt speeches delivered by the groom, best man, and father of the bride. Their witty anecdotes and heartfelt sentiments touched the hearts of all in attendance, setting the stage for an evening of celebration.
Under the clear winter’s sky, Charles and Ellen seized the opportunity for a magical sparkler shot and some star gazing and then onto the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife.
Shapes were thrown by all into the early hours- a fitting end to a perfect day. As the stars twinkled overhead and the festivities came to a close, Charles and Ellen retired to begin the next chapter of their journey together, their hearts full of cherished memories from a winter wedding that warmed the souls of all who attended.
